Kishore Kumar was born on 4 August 1929 in the small town of Khandwa (MP). He was born in a Bengali family and his birth name was Abhas Kumar Ganguly. Kishore Kumar’s father was a lawyer. His name was Kunjalal Gangopadhyay. His mother’s name was Gauri Devi. Kishore Kumar had two brothers and a sister. His brothers were named Ashok Kumar, Anoop Kumar, and his sister’s name was Sati Devi.
